Mercedes-Benz Financial Services - IT Intern

I interned at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services in 2019 as an IT Intern. During my time there, I mainly worked on an online dashboard. A couple interns and I were also able to create, design, and deliver a B2E iOS app, weCare, to simplify internal communication among employees. I was able to familiarize myself with several tools and frameworks and learned several lessons regarding software engineering and corporate structure while growing my professional network.

Undergraduate Research Program (UROP) - Research Assistant

During my sophomore year, I worked under Jeffrey Ringenberg with a group of students building an IoT Curriculum. Our group designed and programmed a prototype for a working bike lock that used an RFID tag to lock and unlock. Later, we conducted surveys on students and presented this research and future plans at a research symposium.

Girls Teaching Girls to Code (GTC) - Events Lead

I helped pilot the GTC chapter at the University of Michigan in 2019 as the Events Lead. I was in charge of managing our fall coding workshop, where we taught several high school girls basic HTML/CSS concepts and helped them build a static webpage. This year, along with recruiting new members, I am working on creating a curriculum for our fall event and adapting it to make it more accessible and safe during COVID-19.
